Working at Height

Those of us who choose to work at height regularly expose ourselves to fall hazards. “Back in the day” you might have been assigned to work at height and given no further instruction.

These days we have a wide selection of PPE available to reduce risk, but more important than equipment is our attitude. Bigger Hammer promotes and encourages a culture of fall safety awareness and prevention; what does that mean?

It means you are responsible for identifying hazards and reporting risks to your supervisor.

It means you are responsible for noticing when a co-worker is struggling, or could use extra instruction or guidance.

It means taking ownership of not just your safety, but the safety of everyone involved. You are responsible, and you can make the choice to pause work and check with your supervisor if you feel a situation is unsafe.
